Have you ever stood in awe of an Arizona sunset, been captivated by the electrifying energy of a desert monsoon storm, basked in the beauty of Sedona’s red rocks, or experienced the joy of friendly people fully embracing life? If music could embody the soul of the Sonoran Desert, dulce VAS would be the heart’s rhythm. We blend familiar songs with an artistic vibe unique to the Southwest. Dulce VAS is Sonoran Jazz. It’s like enjoying a prickly-pear margarita while watching the much needed summer monsoons roll in. dulce VAS has created a smooth style that is uniquely Sonoran Jazz. What makes it so unique? To begin, the primary instrument for the group is a concert grand harp, and make no mistake, this harpist is anything but “straight laced.” Most would not expect a concert harpist to play a Latin rhythm or strum the strings as one would with a guitar. Mix in the sweet and sometimes down and dirty sound of the flute, along with the stimulating pulse created by the percussion and bass, and the experience is one you will definitely not forget!
